Caryn Attianese is the owner of Empowerment Treatment & Counseling. She specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, trauma, addiction, and relationship issues. Using SE as her foundation for all work, she also uses a variety of theoretical orientations including EFT for couples, EMDR, IFS, and the Developmental Model of Immaturity by Pia Mellody.

Caryn is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the states of AZ and MO, and LCPC in the state of IL. She has worked as a clinician, trainer, and supervisor at industry leading treatment centers prior to entering private practice in 2011. Caryn has worked in the eating disorder and trauma field for over 20 years. She is a certified supervisor for associate level counselors in AZ and MO. Caryn also serves as adjunct faculty for the Masters in Counseling program with Grand Canyon University and Webster University.

Prior to entering the mental health arena in 2001, Caryn worked as an elementary school teacher, as teaching has always been one of her passions. She has used this talent to speak at various conferences and events throughout the country. Caryn brings her sense of humor, excitement, and motivation to communicate her compassion, skills, and encouragement with clients and professionals.

In her free time, Caryn enjoys spending time with her 2 girls and 2 cats. She enjoys sports, gardening, and playing card and board games. She also enjoys traveling to new places and has driven through 45 of the 50 states.
